I really want this second booth to look good. I spent time researching pics and videos everywhere of craft show booths and considering the size of my second smaller booth, i had to get real creative - please consider it a work in progress - I promise it will look better soon!
I decided to get a second smaller booth to sell all the arts and crafts stuff I have made. I really wanted to separate out the things for children from the house ware items.
I have been so crazy busy over the past few months that I don't think I can find the time to go to arts and crafts shows anymore - so I am also selling all my inventory in this second booth. Basically these are all the prototypes that you see in my youtube videos. https://www.youtube.com/user/clothespindolls I will try to blog more and update you on the progress. WOW, I can't believe how many "gently used" items I have sold over the past 7 months. I really only thought I would keep the booth for the 3 month minimum. You know , sell all the stuff and move on, but it's really been fun and meeting a lot of really nice people. A friend of mine even got a booth right next to mine, we have a lot of fun selling stuff at our booths. I haven't made a ton of money, but its enough. If you look at the photos from earlier months on this page/blog you can see things that are missing, which means they sold. I refuse to bring anything back home! :) It's amazing how many things we can acquire over the course of time. We buy things, then we no longer need them - but instead of throwing them out - they can find new life in a new home! As you can tell by the pictures, things have been selling! I am finding out that most of the things that we own and no longer need - someone else is looking for that exact item.
The baby diaper cake on the table sold, the white kitchen towel you see hanging on the wall sold for $5 - It's amazing to me, but I am glad someone else finds my things useful. When I first started this consignment store booth - I had no real plan - I just brought in and tagged everything and put it in the booth. Looks super messy right??? But I have found that people really love sifting through all the little treasures! This was in January 2014 or so and as you can see I have a lot of stuff!
Hey Everybody!
Just wanted to share with you my adventures with my new consignment store booth! This all started when we had a lot of excess stuff in our house and wanted to do a yard sale, but I did not want the hassle of dragging everything out to the front yard and back into the house. There is a store that lets people act as vendors and rent a booth space. Since I had never done a consignment sale like this , I thought I would give it a try. Here's what it looks like in my 10x8 booth. This was back in December 2013 |
